La Timbistica is a contemporary All-Star Latin Band made up of some of the best young musicians on the East coast. The band fluctuates from a trio to a full 12-piece Salsa band, and everything in between. Their repertoire covers everything from Latin, Brazilian, and Jazz standards, to modern original compositions. This Award-Winning* Salsa band also has a vast catalogue from classic Salsa of the 60's and 70's to the most current Timba and contemporary Salsa.
Members of this band have toured/recorded with Paquito D'Rivera, Danilo Perez, Batacumbele, Victor Manuelle, N'Klabe, Kevin Ceballos, Truco Y Zaperoco, among many others. They have performed at the Beantown, Monterey, and Duke Ellington Jazz Festivals, as well as some of the most prominent venues in the Boston Area, including Ryles, the Regatta Bar, Havana Club, and many more. |
