Funk, rock, & Miles Davis mesh with the melodies and grooves of South Asia, West Africa and Dumbekistan. Little Bang is noted for its adventurous collaborations with guest masters and exponents of many World music traditions. West African drumming and North Indian raga, married to a solid grounding in American roots music, is mixed, spiced, and simmered to a rich and pungent blend. IPM offers rhythm-heavy melodies that are also vehicles for improvisation and interplay, in the great Jazz tradition. Guests come from New England 's South Asian musical communities, representing and adding musical flavors from both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions.
