Evan Harlan plays the music of the world on the accordion. La Chance, a duo with his frequent collaborator Ima Jonsdottir (violin), features the repertoire of Paris and Viennese cafes, French movie music, bossa novas, and American swing music. Mr. Harlan has performed around the world with such groups as the Von Trapp Singers, the Klezmer Conservatory Band, and the Dave Douglas group. In addition, he has served as music director at the American Repertory Theater and played on the soundtracks of many films - including John Sayles Lone Star, and Sidney Lumet's A Stranger Among Us |
